Salad Bar with Homemade Dressing

Bar suggestions:

  • Lettuce
  • Carrots
  • Cucumbers
  • Olives (black or green)
  • Tomatoes
  • Corn
  • Chickpeas
  • Artichoke Hearts
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Craisins or Raisins
  • Walnuts

Homemade Salad Dressing*

  • 2/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Dash of salt and pepper
  1. Chop garlic cloves into a few pieces (take out the middle green part-It’s bitter!).
  2. Combine red wine vinegar with olive oil.
  3. Add the garlic and a dash of salt and pepper.
  4. Shake well! Serve at room temperature (the oil will congeal when chilled).

Refrigerate leftovers.

* It is suggested to make this a few days before your meal as it allows the dressing to absorb the garlic flavor and really mix together.
